The Lillie Parsons(Mary-Anna) is a 19th Century Great Lakes Centreboard schooner. Built of white oak and rigged fore and aft, she is 131 feet long (40.3m), with a 500-ton (455-tonne) capacity in a 10-foot (3m) hold. She carried coal, lumber, wheat, barley, railroad iron, and salt, and was sailed by a crew of six. She was launched on September 14, 1868 in Tonawanda, New York, USA. On her last voyage, to Brockville, she hit a rock and took on water when her cargo shifted during a squall. She sank off Sparrow Island, August 5, 1877. (Sparrow Island is located upstream about 2 miles [3 km] from Brockville). The island's facilities are controlled by the Brockville Parks Department (picnic tables and outhouses, but no camping). Bring a light to see under the wreck as it is upside-down and prepare for strong currents. Follow the anchor chain to the wreck. Conveniently located on the top side for easy markings
