Recreational Nitrox
Although air qualifies as a Nitrox mix, the principal purpose of Nitrox SCUBA diving is to dive using breathing mixtures other than air. The reason for this is to delay the onset of narcosis and eliminate the need for stage decompression in dives down to 130 feet. This course is for the mature and experienced recreational SCUBA diver who is acquainted with and wishes to lesson the possibility of an occurrence of narcosis or decompression sickness. The object of the course is to present useful information and offer, by means of exam, an opportunity for individuals to be evaluated on their knowledge of recreational Nitrox SCUBA diving and become certified at the Nitrox SCUBA Diver Level.
