Built at Little Sodus, New York the Cora W Post plied the local water waves for only a short time until the steamer Princess Louise ran over her on a foggy night in May 1891, sending her to the bottom with her cargo of red bricks for a new building in Kingston.

This wreck is lined from the lighthouse on Howe Island.
